Another handy feature is the ‘Continue Watching’ feature which shows a row of thumbnails that have been part-watched that viewers can continue watching.
Netflix have managed to display more TV shows and movies in the browse screen for easier selection, viewers can tap a thumbnail to see more details on the show or movie,, including cast and plot synopsis. Listed for shows is the number of episodes that can be instantly watched.
Speaking for Netflix,, Chris Jaffe, director of product innovation said, “We’re really excited about our new experience on Android.”
A search option is supplied via a magnifying-glass button on the screen, the search box can be accessed on every screen in the app making it easy to find new content, and a browse feature lets users look at different categories and genres.
The updated app is available on all Android smartphones running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and above and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
