It appears that the HTC One X Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update roll out will begin at some point in October, first coming to unbranded versions and then heading to carrier-branded versions by the end of the year.

According to , HTC will start rolling out Jelly Bean to the HTC One X starting in October. The company already promised Jelly Bean for the HTC One X and HTC One S so this should come as no surprise to owners.

However,http://seashore-1.newsvine.com/_news/2012/11/08/15034201-apple-iphone-4g-case-ny-yankees-retro-logo, this is the first time that we’ve heard any mention of timing.

Keep in mind, HTC hasn’t confirmed anything just yet but at this point, there is no reason not to believe this as in October and most of the Nexus devices have already seen their update.

If that update for the unlocked version of the HTC One X Jelly Bean update goes smoothly, it seems carrier operated HTC One X devices which includes the AT&T HTC One X, will see the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update before Christmas.

That of course is a target window and depends on testing and carrier approval.

As for the HTC One S, there is currently no timeline which means owners of the T-Mobile HTC One S have to sit and wait in the dark for news to arrive.

HTC Jelly Bean for the HTC One S and HTC One X though it has not publicly said when it will be rolling out those updates. And with a terrible track record in terms of hitting deadlines, it’s not surprising that the company remains completely silent about a roll out window for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Recently, the company missed deadlines for the HTC ThunderBolt and Droid Incredible 2 Ice Cream Sandwich updates, both of which remain unreleased, and it also missed the ICS deadline for the HTC Rezound.
